You have probably had one of those days. You wake up from a troubled sleep in the morning and the memory of all the problems besieging you day in and day out, each and every day come assailing you. It is enough to make you want to crawl back in between the covers and force yourself to sleep again. Maybe in your dreams, there will be no problems and you will be able to live a worry-free life. There will be no credit card bills to pay, no difficult bosses to work with, no rebellious children to live with, no spousal rift to settle, no unreasonable deadline to meet, etc.
Problems are a reality of life. They are consequences of decisions we have previously made and choices we have settled on beforehand. Although they are normal ingredients in life, they do tend to make living a little bit more complicated and a tad more difficult. Most of the time, we wish for the kind of life that is devoid of problems, that is as smooth-sailing as a placid lake during calm weather.
We wish fate would become fairer on stop bombarding our life in particular with a multitude of problems. There are other people, after all, who do not seem to have any kind of problems at all. They do not have a mountain of bills to settle, a difficult boss and even more difficult children to live with, an unending series of unreasonable deadlines to meet, etc. But, that’s what we think. The truth is, they have the same problems we do, in relatively the same intensity as ours. What makes them deal with these better and makes them sail through difficult situations with less difficulty is their ability to redefine the problems in their minds. Instead of viewing problems and difficulties as threats to an otherwise peaceful and enjoyable life, they look at these as challenges and opportunities to triumph over adversities.
And, since we have already settled that problems are inherent and necessary aspects of our life, the best recourse left for us is to search for ways that will help us deal with problems and difficulties better and with more aplomb. There a number of methods out there, most of which are expensive, lengthy, and they offer too few and far in between results anyway that it doesn’t seem a good idea to give them a try. There is one currently popular method, though, that is all-natural, safe, and that provides results that are long-lasting. It is called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
EFT is an uncomplicated way of dealing with stressors in life. It requires you to do a routine of tapping with your index and middle fingers on specific acupuncture points on your body while concentrating on a particular problem and reciting a positive ad reassuring statement. The focusing of the mind and the rhythmic tapping of the fingertips is in itself calming and puts things into proper perspective. Thus, the energy needed to come up with constructive solutions to problems, no matter how big they seem to be, is increased and you will have an easier time settling problems and sailing through difficult situations.
The EFT method should be done regularly and routinely. Soon, you will find that you, too, can have a smooth-sailing and relatively worry-free life.
